Overview

The Retreat

Generous hospitality is at the heart of Greek culture. Gathering around the table together for a delicious meal, the desire is for everyone to feel welcome and leave with unforgettable memories.

My culinary Greek retreat introduces you to the people I know, to share in their knowledge and experience Greek cuisine firsthand. Designed as an intimate experience with just 10 people on each retreat, it’s a chance to immerse yourself in local culture and cookery.

Of course, the best people to teach us are the ones that live here; they’re my partners in helping to uncover the real Corfu. From meeting local yiayias (grannies) with their secret, time-honoured recipes to visiting Vasiliki, the owner and cook of a local winery, we’ll explore the flavours and tastes of authentic Greek cuisine.

Imagine walking through a lush olive grove or preparing a greek recipe with local yiayias (grandmothers) to learn their secrets. Feel and taste the flavours of the freshest produce in a hands-on cooking class or sample locally caught seafood, fresh from the ocean.  As for our walking tour of Corfu Town, it’s the perfect marriage of history, inside knowledge and unique cuisine as we share some of the Old Town’s best-kept secrets and eating spots.

Travel and food are a match made in heaven and this curated retreat of Greek cuisine is entirely arranged to make things simple for you. All you need do is come along, relax and enjoy the slow pace of life Corfu is renowned for.
